Hello I use Limewire 4.16.6. I have windows vista. I have had the same problem with it not connecting and a firewall icon showing. by accident I left my limewire up while i ran my disk defrag then my anti virus/spyware program (I use Spyware Terminator) and after the program finished, finding nothing, my limewire connected and the firewall icon disappeared. I found it an odd coinsedence. so the next day the firewall icon came back up and I was desperate and tried the defrag and anti spyware/virus thing again...and it worked. it connected again. I don't know why this works, i am not complaining. but if this helps anyone else then great. thats the whole idea of this post, right. good luck!!!
