| Listen to Lord of the Rings, replace your gnutella.net file (because it's not deleted in most normal uninstalls) and I had lots of trouble until I replaced that file. (look at some of my more recent forum entries to find out how and where to replace it) LOR is pretty smart, and if he says to replace the gnutella.net file that is what you should do. The firewall picture is normal (it justs means that limewire has detected that you have one, it does not necessarily mean it is working at excluding you from downloading files) |

| Deleting the gnutella.net file was most of the time the solution that fixed it for me especially after an install of a different Limewire version. Under Vista, the file is located under the folder <UrAccountName>\.limewire. Exit from Limewire first and delete that file. You don't even need to replace the file as it seems to re-create itself the next time you connect to the network. |
