 Limewire cannot connect behind Firewall Hi all, I am facing problem in connecting the Limewire. It shows its behind firewall, and the connection strength never turns green ...it always remains in red. Owing to this reason, i am not able to search anything. This has started ever since i installed a Wireless router @ my home. Following is some information about my system: - OS = Windows Vista Home Basic Edition Limewire = 4.16.6 Wireless Router = Netgear WGR614 v9 Please can someone guide me? Do i need to change any setting in limewire or wireless router ? Thanks Raul  |

| Be nice to know the other answers to the questions, such as if you are able to get to the site hosting port 6346 & which isp. Port forwarding your device, start here: 1. This step must be done first: Static ip address setting for Vista 2. Port Forwarding Limewire on the Netgear WGR614v9 You may need to reboot computer after making these changes. Depends upon brand of device. Make sure LW is set as an exception for your Vista firewall. If you have more than one firewall, then choose one, disable the other one.  If still problems, check If LW 5 Will Not Connect |
