In LW go tools > options > advanced > super really advenced. Disable connnecting to DHT, disable ultrapeer capabilities, disable TLS > ok.
If you have multiple downloads in progress, pause some of the downloads or even cancel some if you feel that you can sacrifice them (if they've been sitting there for ages & not finding sources). Cancelling a download will remove it completely & you won't be able to resume a cancelled download. If you're sharing a huge number of files, reduce the number of shared files. Try limiting your uplload & download bandwidth a bit (tools > options > advanced > transfers. Click ok to save any changes). Make sure that your Java's up to date. In LW Help > About LW will show you your Java version. The latest Java's version 6 update 17. If you're using an older Java then see whether updating helps. Click on the link here Java SE Downloads & download the JRE offline installer. Remove all other Java versions installed on your computer via Control Panel. Next, install the version that you've just downloaded. Restart your computer. |
