LW it continualy tries to connect. Please help.
 

I am working with:
Windows 7, 64 bit
LW 5.4.6
F/Wall: windows Defender

Provlem: when i try to open LW it continualy tries to connect to the internet, showing the bars in the lower left hand corner empty, and saying connecting next to it. there's also a little blurb that pops up when i open LW that says:

"Network Error
LimeWire is unable to connect to the internet. It's likely that you need to update your security software to allow LimeWire to access the internet. Please see User Cant Connect - LimeWire for more information."

I went to the sight, but it wasnt very helpful. So i ask for help from those who might know.

Firstly, you will need to add LW to your firewall exceptions: Setting up an exception for LimeWire in your software firewall (click in link)

The problem might lay with your router or the location you are attempting to connect from. ;)
