Way to much to read!!!

I just paid for 3 months worth of LW.

I downloaded 5.5.10 version and I've searched and searched and searched but to no avail I can't get LW to work.

Everytime I search for an artist all it says is Limewire is connecting, there's no connection what-so-ever on the bottom left corner. I adjusted my Firewall settings and still NOTHING!

What did I pay $15 for then? I can't download anything yet

See the link near top of page (above your post) about System Details, click on it & post back the details about your system set up, and we will see if we can find anything which stands out that might be contributing to your connection problematic issue.

Oh and also, go to your LW menu bar, Tools menu, choose Advanced Tools & (a) tell us if you see any connections listed that are stationary & not dropping away. If connected normally you would see 5 connections for LW Pro (only 3 for Basic.) (b) Also, what does the message at far left of that window say about firewall?

I went into Tools....Advanced Tools and there's absolutely nothing in those boxes. They are all blank!


As far as System Details go....I'm trying to connect @ work, I'm using Windows XP and Limewire 5.5.10 and my Java is 6 I believe. Before I paid for the 3 months and downloaded a free trial of LM I got connected, made 1 cd and now that I paid I can't get a connection.

There is no free trial. LW Basic is FREE. LW Pro costs.

I will look into my magic ball and try to guess a magic solution: Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire.

Here's another tip, don't use LW or a work computer, if not configured properly it can be a security risk and you could be open to disciplinary proceedings.
