If you've suddenly lost connection after updating LW, try deleting LW's preferences folder first, otherwise try other fixes in this link (click on blue link): If LW 5 Will Not Connect

Don't forget to read the info about backing up incomplete downloads before deleting the preferences folder, if you have incomplete downloads that you want to resume later
