Undoubtably the worst program I have ever encountered in over 22 years of computing!!!
LimeWire 2.1.1 Pro - A REAL Dud. If it stayed online for more than a few seconds perhaps we would get some where. |

You should get 2.4.1 it's working quite good.

2.1 is ancient! I had 2.3.x and was almost ready to throw in the towel. I uninstalled and then installed 2.4.3......Works wery well! Although I have a PC, so I'm not sure about Macs.

Yeah, why not try it at least? Also, make sure you have the latest update for the Java Virtual Machine for OS 9. Currently, I think 2.2.5 is the latest version which you can download from apple's site, or try using Software Update control panel. I'm not sure what they (LW) includes in the 11 MB download file, as far as the JVM version. Also, allocate plenty of RAM to LimeWire before launching it. At least 64,OOO KB, 100,000 KB if you can afford to do so. Hope this helps.... |
