On my library menu, there is no "shared file folder" But there is an incomplete folder. Where does all my complete files go? This is really annoying me!

What happened to the shared folder??
It was here in previous versions. Is there a way to get it back? It's a pain in the *** to go to C drive just to play your music. I tried adding a new folder and that doesn't work, |

Had the same problem, sounds like many are having. Here is how I created a Shared Folder:
T00LS - OPTIONS - SHARING, if box is empty, add the directory that your MP3's are downloading to. Mine was C:\Program Files\LimeWire\Shared. Once I applied or added that to the box, my Shared folder now appears in my Library and I am able to play downloads etc. via the folder. Hope it works. |

I had this problem also.
What worked for me (knowing the problem existed) was to create the "Shared" folder in the LimeWire directory FIRST, before opening LimeWire after install. That way the folder is already in place the first time you open LimeWire. Then just set your options to point to it. Hope this helps. |

This is happening to me too. It REALLY POes me to find all of my precious files deleted. This NEVER happened in other versions.

Isn't this really silly that we have to sit here and try to figure out a workaround for a problem that the programmers should solve!

My shared folder disappeared as well... go to Tools, Options, and click on Shared (on the left of the screen). If the directory box is empty, click on Add, then enter the path name to the folder (i.e. C:\Program Files\LimeWire\Shared)
Good Luck! |

Good advice... no matter how many times I try to tell limewire that the new shared folder is on my secondary drive, back to C: it goes....
