I have a download of a large video clip that was about halfway done. One day, I opened up Limewire and found all of my normal downloads and my video download, which should always come back up when I turn the system back on, gone. I didn't think to much of it... I figured I could just find another person to download from and when I start that download, it'll continue on my old incomplete file. but this did not work. I found the exact same file and fried to download it, but instead it started a whole new download. If its any help, this new download's incomplete name had the word preview before the bytes number and its name. please help!

I am also having the same problem - lots of stuf in incomplete and just about useless. It takes a lot of time to download stuf even with cable and it is very irritating to say the least to not be able to resume the download from where it left off. i'll be watching for a reply - Thanks

LimeWire's resuming works quite reliable most of the time, - but it happens, that the downloads.dat file is corrupted and in this case you can forget all your incompletes, - LimeWire will not be able to resume them since it lost all information on which blocks were written. - I've not seen this error for a while with the latest version, - maybe you want to update (if you haven't already).

Same problem. I haven't been able to resumse any downloads that are in the Incomplete folder. This has been the case for the past several versions of LW. Its like the Incomplete folder is just a place to store dead/partially d/l'd files.

Same thing here with version 2.4.4 If I quit part way through a download, there doesn't seem to be any way for me to resume it from the incomplete folder.

I too have this problem, which is very annoying. If the answer is to upgrade my version of LW, then where can I find that??
Also, when selecting a large number of files ready for download, as soon as I exit LW i lose them all, is this meant to happen, or is there any way you can keep hold of the files selewcted for downloading?? |
