Who is the culprit? There is this irritating and problem-causing file on someone's shared list. This thing (shows up like "!-!") is posted across all file types, therefore showing up in a great deal of searches. Folks are downloading this thing by accident or out of curiosity and causing it to spread like a venereal disease. This is bad. I have tried to get the ICQ of the dude(tte) that is sharing this thing, but because of my download speed, the address appears and disappears in the blink of an eye (the pesky file is usually only about 19kb). Of course, the culprit's chat is disabled, as his/her brain may be. Is there a place to complain? It is tough enough when people put garbage out there (poor quality, inoperable/unopenable files--not the content), but this thing seems to be increasing and showing up in more and more searches. For some reason, this thing shows up in searches for just about anything. It's late, I'm tired. If anyone can help, let me know.

99.999% are from the same IP. I added his/her/its IP address to the Filters/Hosts list. I never see those !--! 19kb files any more. Try it.

All of those files that have exclaimation marks in the title are FAKES! They come from a porn spammer who uses a bot to flood searches with files similar to the search name. If you d/l and run the file, your computer will be slammed with a bunch of shortcuts (everywhere) to porn sites.

Can anything be done about this type of foolishness? I mean, we are all trying to form a collective here that is symbiotic. I suppose there is no way to prevent opportunistic parasites from "sharing" their wares with us, but there really should be something to warn the Limewire neophyte about this type of ****. Normally, I person could be ignored or given a good flogging, but in this type of environment, the best solution so far is DSLayer's. Lock this fool out. Problem is that folks will continue to unwittingly download this crap and spread it around, efffectively cutting us off from their shared libraries.
