What happens if you only replace the LimeWire.jar and the MessagesBundles.jar files? |
Do you mean replace those two files without changing to creator and flie type? Otherwise, that's what I did. I replaced only those two files, and as you can see by the error, LW could not recognize your new file as limewire.jar. |
Krieger88: Wasnt LimeWire GPL? If it was, you HAVE to release the code. Freiluft: LimeWire runs everywhere. You can start it on your mac too. |

- Oh and LimeWire doesn't necessarily run on any JRE, - you can easily make it incompatible to any older JRE. |
Krieger, zigmal bitte!!! Can't you test this out on an older version of Java so that Mac OS users can also use your fix? |
Apple's MRJ for MacOS was designed to be compatible to Sun's JRE 1.1.8 but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Just testing on an older version won't do the trick. - I believe it's something to do with the way I packaged it. I'll try to find out why it won't run once I'm finished with my exams for this year (in about two weeks) but I'm not very confident. |
