java 2 runtime is corrupted?

I have been trying for who knows how long to get limewire, however once it has all downloaded it automatically states that I do not have Java 2 runtime environement and that it will automatically install it in order to open limewire. So this takes forever to download and once it is all done a message appears that the contex of this file cannot be unpacked and that it is corrupted. Please obtain another copy and verify the integrity and try again!! Please help!
