| I thought DSL was supposed to be independent streams. And certainly it seemed so to me in previous versions of LW. But now, if anyone is uploading from me, my download speed takes a tremendous hit: from, say, 24K/sec. to 3. Several uploaders means that my connection to the network breaks down, the busy signals disappear, and sometimes my downloads interrupt as well. I have to stagger the times when I download and when I let people download from me. I wish I didn't have to make such a choice. |
