Perhaps it's something wrong with the hosts you are trying to download from. If you have the latest version of limewire you can use the direct connection option on the search tab to connect to one of my hosts. I recommend you download one of the smaller files as a test. chi08.leeware.com. This host should be able to deliver 75K - 100K throughput.

Hope this helps.

One man said he could get only 20 kb, when downloading, but I can only get usually 2 or 1 kb. However, on downloads just from somewhere on the internet, I can get like 12 kb.

I think that that last long post by Leeware explained it, but I want to make sure I'm getting the max out of it.

Thanks

I had some real sucess with setting up my ip to router for limewire and now are able to download at much faster speed. However, sometimes when I am downloading from 6 users for a single files, it can never reach certain amount of speed. My guess is that I am not downloading from good connection users. But here's thing problem, said a file have 200 users avaviable, well I can never download any more than six users. So how do I increase the number of users I download from? because I know if I could just at least download from 10 users, my downloading speed will go off the roof. Can anyone help me with that?

In LW tools>options>downloads>Maximum Downloads ---- try setting this at 40-50. That should allow you to conncet to more hosts.

It did for me. You may have to tinker with it a bit to find out what is best for your setup.

Don't forget to click apply then okay, for the changes to take effect.

Have a good evening.

Clarifications

The settings you recommended he change would not increase the number of "sources" he's able to download from for a particular file. This setting controls the number of files you can download at any given time.

For example, If I set the number to 1 and I select from the search results 20 files to download. One will begin to download from all of the available sources and the rest will be queued until the file finishes downloading.

In other words, they will download one at a time. This feature is useful if you are getting good speeds for each of the files and you don't want to your other downloads to cut into those speeds.

Hope this helps.
