 router vs modem Assuming I understand your question. You want to know which offers better download performance a router or a modem? Answer: It doesn't matter. Why? Because your download speed is limited by the person you're downloading the file from. Therefore if you have a T3 = 45Mbps connection and the person you are transferring data from only has a 56Kbps you will only be able to communicate @ 56Kbps or less. Hope this helps to clear things up a bit.
