![]() I saw a message in another thread that I found interesting. It said that files that have names with strange characters (such as "/" or ":" or "*"), characters that are illegal in filenames, will cause "Could not move to library" errors. So this suggests that there are people out there who are naming files with these funny characters. While LimeWire uses a temporary name during the download, when it finishes, it tries to put the file into the Library using the original filename, and it fails when the file contains a bad character. I would guess that the people supplying files with weird characters are sharing the files from Unix or Mac, because those OS's allow characters that Windows does not permit. Limewire could probably do something a bit smarter, like trying to remove the invalid characters on systems that do not support them. Do you think this is the cause of your problem? |
