I have been using LimeWire for Red Hat 7.1 for about 2 weeks now, and have not yet been able to download a single song. Every time I try, I either get the "couldn't download" response automatically or end up waiting for busy's for about an hour when it will finally say the same thing. I run LimeWire on window's also, and have never had a problem with easily finding a song that was downloadable. Has anyone else had this problem? I've basically rendered it to be completely useless.

Had kinda the same prob with mandrake. It turns out it was the permissions for the directory that Limewire was trying to save to. I changed them to allow writing for that directory and Limewire worked fine.

I seem to be in the same situation. I was scratching my head on this one, for a bit, but then tried changing save to directory (one that I had permissions to use) and it worked. Thanks for the info.
