In terms of files being saved as "LimeWire documents," we are looking into this issue ourselves.

We're feeling the brunt of being a cross-platform program right now, so we're a little bit overwhelmed with putting the various fires out on the 10 or so platforms that LimeWire is now used on.

So, I'm sorry to say simply that we'll get to it as soon as we can, but right we're just about as bewildered by the LimeWire document problem on the Mac as you are!

In terms of files appearing in the library in general, make sure the directory is shared, and make sure that the file extensions of the files in that directory are also shared. The library only shows shared files, so that directory you want to see must be shared, and the file extension you want to see must be shared.

You can view all of this in the Tools>>Options menu under the "Sharing" tab.
