Hello!

Are you sure you completely deleted it?

This problem with a blank search result window is usually the cause of corrupted preferences especially the display.props file is to be blaimed for this issue.

If you are using a Macintosh. Just delete the entire .limewire folder found inside the System Folder inside the Program Preferences folder. Then re-start your Mac and then Launch LW and your searches should be working fine again. If not then check the display.props file found inside the .limewire folder by opening it in Simple Text. Does it contain any text?. If not then add the text below and save it.

If you are using Windows just use its search tool and search for display.props

And then open it in NotePad and see if it contains any text. If not then you should add the following text and save it:

LOCATION=105
COUNT=15
QUALITY=67
TYPE=37
VENDOR=60
SIZE=67
CHAT=28
audios__audio__bitrate__=59
SPEED=57
NAME=393
(by the way this is the same text that you should add in the display.props file if you are using the Macintosh version aswell)
If ithe display.props file is completely missing just open up NotePad and add the same text as above and name the file display.props then you should put the file in the same directory as the limewire.props file is.
