i am a newbie to limewire, i just downloaded the version 3.1.0 a few days ago and i was wondering if anyone could answer my questions. when you download a file, after it's finished it's supposed to go to the shared folder, right? well when i look in my library there is no shared folder! although it says i am currently sharing 3 files... where is the shared folder supposed to be? help!

Go to - Tools, Options, Sharing and Limewire will show you the path to your shared directory. If you didn't specify a different place the default path is usually

C:Program Files\Limewire\Shared

That depends on your OS, - I think. On Windows XP for example you won't find it there.

I believe Trap_jaw4 is correct. If you are running XP it probably locates in your Documents and Settings folder.

thanks! i found my shared folder! but i have one more question: it looks like limewire only shares my incomplete files.. is this right? and if it is, why?

No, you shouldn't share your incomplete files.

You should set up to share your completed downloads. If your incomplete directory is in your shared list you should remove it.

Go to preferences, and choose your shared folder as the one you want.

uhhh... where is preferences supposed to be?

On my LW, it's in Limewire and then preferences. Just look in all of your file menus.
