I just sitched to LimeWire from Kazaa. It seems my downloads are going rather slow. I use the modem option. I don't know whether I should use option T1 or T3 or higher. I have a 56k modem. I just switched my internet acces to joi express. It is supposed to allow for faster downloads. Can anybody help me out?

Wow! I just had a 12KB/s download over 56K modem. Best number I have ever seen.

Yeah, I'm having problems with slow downloads too. I have a cable modem or dsl or isdn or something...anyway, it's faster than a 56k. The downloads I'm getting, when something does actually get through, are like 0kb/sec. Does this maybe have something to do with my computer? I only have a 400mhz P2 with 64mb. So does this affect things. I guess I should mention that Kazaa was just as slow, but with ads.

Hey, thanks a lot. I remember someone telling me it was RAM that was holding up my counterstrike, too. But that was two years ago. I'll look into the RAM situation.
