no on is uploading from me??? why

Firewalls are very efficient in routers for example to manage traffic between a LAN/WAN and they are also quite efficient at preventing your staff from using file-sharing apps ;-).

Personal firewalls usually don't protect you against anything except for trojans maybe (who can't phone home while the firewall is running, - but there are trojans which can identify and disable your virus scanner and your personal firewall).

I forgot to mention, personal firewalls may also protect you against Windows RPC/IIS/Exchange bugs - but so does installing the security fixes Microsoft provides.

Hi Trap Jaw, would you have any idea why after about 20 hours downloading on LimeWire Pro no one has uploaded, not even tried, while uploading I monitor uploads and with a tick in 'incoming searches', displays a continuing list of searches being carried out. I have 1800 files in my share directory but either something is wrong or nobody wants any of these files?!
I often get people saying that it is my firewall settings but they are default! Do I change any of these? As Pauline Hanson once said: Please Advise.
