>i have found that the beta version consistently mucks up the searches, so much so that i can only run one search at a time. hi ssiemson71, what exactly do you mean by "mucks up searches" ? thanks. |
Odd! I'm not sure how the Windows installer works, but on OSX, the installer upgrades the current version. You should probably download a new installer. Sounds like you might have something to send to bugs@limewire.com If you look in the Tools->Options->Sample Bug Report, you can copy all the info there to send too (just snip out the sample java crash). It saves having to list many of the specific details that the developers need to get some context for your problem. Sorry to hear the searches were worse. Cheers |
search results more info send a bug report. re: install. limewire in the program files folder has been altered to limewire 3.7.9. i guess that means it can't be undone w/o deleting it in total. re: searches "mucked up". as in my example. i start separate searches and the results are cross posted in the search column. after repeating the searches i simply get irrelevant results not at all related to the respective search queries. no major drama if i have to reinstall limewire, i guess. best s |
more beta 3.7.9 info the confusing search results that appeared when first using the beta 3.7.9 version (see previous posts) have not occurred since. the last few days the beta has been running well. thanx to the developers best s |
Good to hear it: there had been some problems with the search tabs closing the wrong results a while back, but that was quickly fixed. I hadn't heard of results getting switched. btw, I noted that the 3.7.10 beta is being readied for release, so keep an eye on your beta page and the beta forum. The devs have been pretty good about posting some info about the changes there. |
