Hi, I'm running the latest limewire pro, as in downloaded and installed today. There are some files that are on a single host that are 4 stars, but it says need more sources?

The chat smiley is there but i can't seem to chat to ask the host a question. I have no other problems with limewire, though i think i do have some problems if there aren't multiple hosts (i.e. very popular files)

any ideas?

They are Shareaza users. You can't do anything but avoid dl from them. Right-click on the search column and enbale vendor/version cloumn, skip RAZA hosts.

thanks for the tip. However the files in question are from a LIME vendor. The problem remains

Are you firewalled? A router?
Do this test to see if you are firewalled: in options-error reports-see an exemple an tell us if at the line: Received incoming this session: if it is true or false (false means you are firewalled)

hi, yes, i'm behind a firewall, it's built into my router basically, i have a zyxel 650hw. should i 'force' ?

Yes, open port 6346 you'll get better dl speeds (and faster search results) and be able to share to more people on the gnet. http://portforward.com/zyxel/650hw.htm Look to get a static address also http://portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm

edit: be sure in options-advanced-firewall-check the force IP on the port 6346 also after you've done the port forwarding. The options-error report-receive incoming this session should say true once all is right.
