![]() I'm having trouble with uploading, I have LimeWire 3.8.5 PRO I have the following settings: Upload Bandwidth: 100% Partial Files: Check Uploads per person: 10 Max Upload Slots: 15 I also have it set up to allow anyone upload no matter how many files they have. This is kind of irritating me because now that I have cable, I'm willing to share, but nobody can upload from me. While when I had 56k everyone uploaded and killed my bandwidth. I know my files are popular, but nobody has uploaded yet. They all have hits and a lot of them. I tried disabling my firewall, and nothing happened, as far as I know there isn't any obvious solution to this problem. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me here. Thanks. |

![]() I'm no expert so hopefully this advice won't simply muddy an already confusing issue for ya. ![]() First, you say that you disabled your firewall. Is this a software firewall such as the one that comes with WinXP or McAfee Personal Firewall? If so, are you on a LAN network where your cable modem is connected to a router that redirects your internet connection to more than one computer in your home? The reason I ask this is that your router may have a hardware/built-in firewall that may need configuring and/or tweaking. Does your new cable ISP block or limit P2P application connections? From what I hear, it's difficult to find out but users have posted what they found about their own ISPs here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...need+for+speed . Hope this gave some possible ideas on what the problem is and good luck! |

![]() thanks for your help, but guess what? I got an upload today! it's all fine now, it must have been my firewall, today when I started up my computer I couldn't do anything on the internet. Weird enough, my firewall was blocking everything, so I installed it entirely, and now everything that had trouble before is working great ![]() ![]() |
