The versions of LW before LW4 allowed you to separate the search results into individuals as you were suggesting. I personally didn't like this being taken out but there was apparently a reason. You'd need to search the forum to find this reason. I think I saw it in the New Feature Requests section a mth/2 ago. As I said, you can add/delete filters anytime. If you only/predominantly search for jpgs, then I guess you wouldn't want to filter them out at all.
