No Song Preview, Why????

I downloaded this Limewire deal to get music and movies, and it works ok, but you can't preview the song before you download it. I am new to this downloading thing, are all the places like this or just Limewire? I know if it is starting to download you can hit launch and hear the begining of the song, but if you decide it is not the one you want and stop it, it keeps it in an incomplete folder, so then you have to go back and delete these later, why not just have a preview option? Thanks for the help, remember I am brand new to this so maybe I am doing something wrong.

I hope you go it from here: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml If not read this: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...5&pagenumber=1 Also make sure you have a default app set for previewing the type of file you wish to preview as it's dwnlding. (Highlight/select movie/audio file, go to File - Properties & select default app to play them (make sure they can play them & you already have all the needed codecs for playback.)

Codecs: http://www.k-litecodecpack.com/ or http://www.divx-digest.com/software/nimo_pack.html & you could also try an alternate free player: http://www.videolan.org/

I bought the unlimited lifetime through Lime WIRE not a ripp off site. I know how I can preview once the file starts to download, but what I want to know is can you preview a song before it starts the downloading process?

Nope, no previews before the dld starts.
If you take the time to think about it, it's rather fairly simple and logical: you can't preview something you don't have and unless you start dlding the file, then you don't have it.
It's almost as if you asked: "Can I eat an apple without having one?"...
It's not impossible to do it, but it would need streaming and to do that in P2P would probably slow down everyone.

And another thing: there are scam sites that appear exactly like the official limewire site. The official one is located at www.limewire.com and doesn't offer lifetime stuff.
The only time-period thingy it offers is free updates for the ones who buy Pro. And that's only for 6 months, no more, no less.

Sounds to me like you joined one of the scam sites, Limewire doesn´t offer a unlimited lifetime membership or something like this. You pay for Limwire and can update it the next six months, if you want to continue it you pay again. No membership, no monthly fees. I bet your site claimed all downloads all legal, we have millions of users... bla, bla, bla... they are lying.
What you got is the FREE version of Limewire which you can download here for free:

www.limewire.com

This and ONLY this is the official Limewire site. You should ask for a refund.

Perhaps you don´t know that Limewire is a P2P client, this means that you connect to people like you and me and there is NO fast server which offers thousands of songs, so you have to download a little before you can preview it.

I am totally new to this and I can't believe they can do something like this. I have emailed them demanding a refund, but I am afraid they won't do it. Does Lime Wire know these people are doing this? Any advice you can give me I would appreciate it.
