Yes, if you click resume from the incomplete downloads folder they should resume from where they were when you killed them. Only on version 4.2 though (not really, but you should upgrade if you haven't already.) Good luck. deepblue |

Thanks deepblue! I tried to download the 4.2.2 version and when i went to run it, it said that it was not a valid application. Do i need to uninstall my current version of limewire first? If so, will i lose my current downloads? |

Hmm... well on windoze (I assume that is what you are useing) you shoulden't have to uninstall LW before you install a new version... but. I don't think your files are deleted when you uninstall, but just to be safe you should go the folder where you keep all of your shared files and cut and paste them to your desktop. Then you can remove the old version and install the new one. Let me know what happens. Oh, and you do have a recent version of JAVA don't you? deepblue |

http://www.limewire.com/english/content/support.shtml Just click on the JAVA button at the bottom of the page to get v1.4 . Good luck. deepblue |

Hey FeRRaRi^CHiCk which afl club do you follow. I was an mcc member until well ... the grand final. They porked us to pay for the new stands & I said enough is enough with fee increases. What's this got to do with LW. Hey do a search for afl & you'll come up with my club's club theme song for a start lol You'll also come up with video clips such as goal of the year etc. lol hey it's too late in the morning for mee! Rust never sleeps. This was an early rmit flash effort lol: |

For java you have these choices: http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_automatic.jsp for version 1.4.x OR http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp (take the JRE) for version 1.5. |

Demons. I'm not laughing. I highly respect those that stick with their team. As I have. Unlike those that continually change just be follow the top teams. My favourite got knocked out. The 3rd last one. But then I liked amelia from tas also. By the way, it's not a good idea for force resume from the library. I'd do it as a last resort. But then, I'm not sure what changes LW 4.2 has made to improving this (I need to check on this.) To continue dwnlds, it's best to manually search for the sources. Likewise if you accidentlaly deleted a dwnlding file from teh dwnld window, it's best to re-select it from the search results or else, re-search it. A well set-up LW can start to continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints. Whatever you do, don't delete files from the Library window unless you're 100% sure what you're doing. Once they're gone they are deleted from your computer (you'd need a file recovery utility to attempt to get them back.) |
