I think it might be a case of LW settings. If you're using Windows get a mac (just a joke!): go to LW's menu Tools>Options>Downloads & what is the figure in the option box? Is it zero? Change it to what you feel your connection can handle.
Also update your Java: Java 1.4.2 (click on link)
Here's some hints for optimising LW: A well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints. Try not to use the Resume button on many files at once if you do choose to use it at all. Resumeing a great many files can cause kaos for LW's connection quality & will also result in all your files becoming queued for much, much, much longer! So better to search manually for sources & fresh sources. |
