Red means that LimeWire isn't sharing that file.
If the file is in a shared folder, then LimeWire will share it soon. When files are added, LimeWire has to generate a unique hash for each file, which can take some time to do. You can see how many files are currently shared (and how many ultimately will be) at the bottom-left of LimeWire.
