Default Downloaded Files End Up The Same Thing

I'v only been useing LimeWire for a couple days now, but most the picture and video files and up being the same thing...the pictures mostly end up as a picture of an ipod, advertiseing some site...and the video files won't play any video, instead opening an internet window to load the some site that i'm pretty sure is the same as the one advertised in these ipod pics.
Don't get me wrong i'v gotten a couple good files out of it, but about 90% are just the same thing...now i really want to know what's going on and how to stop it, because it's getting really REALLY ANOYING.
Thanks

does anyone at all know what's happening here...because it slightly limits what i can download...
the only reason i'm useing limewire, is because kazaa won't connect for me, and if i can't fix this i may just stop useing p2p programs all together if i can't get kazaa to work

Do a search on the forum for the word spam. you should recognise these files by their size so in future you won't choose them. How could a movie file possibly be so small anyway. Keyword filters can help. Make a note of the file's extension. You can also filter the search results from the left of the search results.

Press the button at top of this page which says search & type in spam.

I decided to do the search for you: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=32192 That applies to Mac OSX for keyword filters. For Windows you'll need to go to your LW menu Tools>Options>Filters>Keyword to find it.

Here's another link that may help you: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...highlight=spam

And another with helpful points: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=32034
