hello ! i have a mac G4 with os X 10.3.7 and everytime I download from limewire a wmv format; I only can read an advertising for clearaboutclub.com... I tried with window media player and with vlc... Anyone could help me ? thank you very much !

Why would anybody who uses a mac osx want to downld wmv files?? They are absolute rubbish. Personally I filter out wmv & jpeg files. Keyword filters can be added or removed anytime.

Thank you very much for your quick answer... But that doesn't really help me... so, sorry to bother you again : I know it's rubbish but when you find a video file which exists only in wvm, you need to be able to read it !! any help for me ? What's really strange is the ad for this website which automatically comes up...

Somebody else posted on the forum about that site some time ago.

If you're looking for a movie then it's not going to be as small as those files that immediately come up in your search results (generally from T1 sources.) If it's a movie then it should be quite substantial in size. Anything less than 50 MB in size should be treated with suspicion. For people who are serious about dwnlding movies they look for movies over 500 MB in size.

I thought so, but I just wanted to be sure... And I didn't know about the size of the file. But on limewire you still can find many files in wmv format which are very small files... So I tried with several players in case...
it means that somebody is sending false files in order to make more advertising !
