ya .wmv aren't that great unless their coming from a secure location, like on a website... but thats different, just always look at their extensions, if it is a .wmv dont download it, cuz its just a pain. These are same: .mpg .mpeg .afi and there are a couple of others i forgot, those ones stated previously in this topic.
