So, let me see if I've got this right. Go to the LW Fixes thread. Try that. If it doesn't work, go to the 4.3.3 link and download it. And possibly try the fix again if the problem persists?

When's the next version due out? Anyone know?

Your issue sounds more like an Operating System issue. I'm probably wrong but perhaps your present system set up can't handle these non lative based characters. Did you try setting your system to use unicode or something. Another thought is if you truncate the names ... shorten them before they're 100% complete. Just a thought. Which OS are you using?

First, the error i got was that it couldnt be moved to the library because it was in use by another program at that time.

A. WIN XP with SP1
B.4.8.1

C. Yes, it only had this error with this one file. I believe they still work, im downloading something else now, and itll be done in a bout 45 minutes.

d.Today.
E. no
F.normal i spose. Same as all the others that are incomplete, i found it in that folder, and it says its 100 % finishd. I cant seem to preveiw it either.
G. Like move the entire folder?
H. C:
I.internal
J. Only 2 were at that time, counting it.
K. No...
L. Only this one so far...
M. N/A
N. N/A
O. No...
P. No...

Thanks for your help in advance.

What version is your 'kernel32.dll' file? 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158)

Questions:

a) What operating system are you using? Windows XP Home
b) What LimeWire version are you using? LimeWire 4.8.1

c) Did downloading ever work before? i only downloaded Limewire today, so no.
d) What day did downloading stop working? today
e) Did you install any programs or updates (Windows Updates in particular) just before downloads stopped working? i downloaded the Java program when i installed Limewire

f) How long is the path to your incomplete/save directory? 4 steps
g) If you shorten the path (C:\Files\Saved) does it start working?
h) What drive is the save directory on? C: drive
i) Is the save directory on an internal or external drive? internal
j) Do you have many files that you are downloading? 5

k) Does the problem appear when you click on a search result to start downloading, or only after you've restarted LimeWire and it resumes old downloads? n/a
l) Does the problem appear with every single download, or only some of them? every one thus far
m) If it appears with only some of them, what do those downloads have in common? Are the names really long? n/a
n) If it appears with all of them, try downloading some files that have very short names. Does it still fail? so far medium length named files have not worked, am awaiting a shorter file name however

o) Do you have any Anti Virus or Firewall programs running? yes Norton Anti-Virus, and the XP firewall
p) If so, can you disable them and try running LimeWire again? i don't want to disable them if i can avoid it.

thankyou in advance, sorry to be a hassle!!
