What is a hash tree and if someone is uploading a hash tree is it bad or something I should be concerned about?

I believe this normal. I see it also. I think what it is doing is creating place holders when whoever is dowloading are using multiple hosts to download from. This way the various hosts being uploaded from don't get confused and know which part of the file they are supposed to be uploading

The hash trees (identities of fragments of the file you download) permit LW to know if fragments of the files are corrupted before the dl is completed.
Ciao
