strange downloading

a funny thing happened on 11/02/05.. while downloading a tune limewire detected a corrupted file, I hit no so I didnt download but it carried on anyway? Then I noticed on my taskbar a second installation of limewire. Has anyone else had this trouble and can you help me to find out what it is? The second icon of limewire has now disapearred off my taskbar, but when I went into my library all my logs were gone.Please help

It is possible to stop this 2nd occurrence of LW using your Task Manager. I suspect it may happen when you click/double-click the LW shortcut. Shortcuts are not always reliable. But I'm not sure!

I've had 2 occurences of LW for 2 reasons. One I had a 2nd LW version on the computer. The 2nd was as I suggested earlier. It's probably not healthy to leave it like that. It may be using more of your computer's resources for a start. (By the way how many versions of Java do you have on your machine.)
