Done that, repaired the connection but still no improvement. I'm d/ling a very popular file. Eg: 50 cent - candy shop, with around 300 host. I'm still getting 0kb/s or 1 kb/s. I'm sharing around 2500 files. Many people are downloading from me. Sigh, what is happening to me.....Oh ya, just a question. Do i need to upload more, to download more? just like bittorrent? I had an experiment with my fren. We both have 1024 kb/s connection. We started to download the same file which had a abt 300 hosts. His transfer rate started at around 30kb/s while mine starts at 1kb/s then gradually change to 0kb/s. Sigh...

Hi Myros

You may need to do a port forwarding. http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm

You can find your modem in the list. Just follow the instructions.

Hi syyang85

you can also find your modem in that link also, try forwarding a port.

Also In LW tools>options>advanced>firewall configurtion --- select manual port forward --- click apply then okay

Hi fabion,

I'm using bridge mode to dial( i use windows to dial). Not router mode. So, i do not need to forward my ports. As a proof, I have high download rate from my bittorrents. Hmmhh, anyway just in case. i tried it. But still no luck. Thanks anyway.

If you do ok downlding using bittorrents I presume people have no difficulty uplding from you?

Do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is it True/False?

I wonder if your bridge mode should use UPnP or Manual port forward in LW's firewall settings.

Oh well, my modem was not on that site. its AzTech DSL206U.

Well, guess I'll go back to Ares Lite. it d/ls at a total of 10-15kbs, still better than limewire. The only reason why I want to use Limewire is because of its availability of Users.

If you used to D/L at a speed more than 10k/b and suddenly it dropped to 0k/b here is what i did and poof my D/L speed is back!

Go Tools,Options Bug Reports:Check if, Received incoming this session: true or false? if true no problem, if false you may have a firewall blocking.

Next Tools,Option, Advanced, Firewall Config: Put 80 in the listen on port instead of 6346. Next Use Manual Port Fowarding and enter 80.

Next Hit Connect!

DONE!
