Rookie Download Question
Hey all i just got limewire pro yesterday and was amazed at the download speed i was download 10 different files at 50k-90k each no joke! and now today i am lucky if i hit 3 k um WHAT THE HECK!!!! HELP PLZ!!!!

You never step in the same river twice!
Gnutella say... You never log into the same network twice! I use DSL here, and my speeds vary +/- 200% or more from time to time, day-to-day... With LimeWire, one file may go at over 90KB/sec, another at less than 0.5KB/sec... (Over two orders of magnitude.) It depends on your local network, the overall network neighborhood traffic, the state of the other Gnutella peers, and the specific files... tons of variables! Are you on T1, LAN, DSL, microwave, Wi-Fi, or cable modem? Last edited by GeoFan49; April 25th, 2005 at 02:23 AM.
