When I download music, my speed seems to vary from real fast to real slow. When I start it will go as high as 75kb, then slowly decrease down to 0, then go back up. Any ideas to as what my problem is and how to fix it?

Why thank you bpmax, my problem just started recently, so I figured it wasn't a Gnu problem. I hope someone can help me fix this.

The problem seems to be getting worse, as in more often that not, the speed will just crash. Does anyone know any quick fixes for this?

Im having the same problem as well. Except with a little twist. Usually i download music and other files no problem but i've recently tried downloading some videos and encountered these problems.

My problem is, when i start downloading the file it may or may not connect immidiately as usual, and then when it finally does connect it will only go up to 7 or 8 kbps when i've seen speeds >70kbps. Then it will go back down to 0 kbps, and then it will drop it until it re-connects which takes forever.

Anyway, im using LW v4.8.1 through a cable connection, and windows xp pro. I've tried to delete the settings located in .limewire on my hard drive, with no effect. Tried some other things too but nothing has worked, if anyone has any suggestions, im all ears.

i tried all the fixes possible for this, and still my speed will raise to around 50kb, then drop down to 0 and reconnect, then go back up... and keep doing this until the song is done d/l. Anyone have any tips on how to improve this?

So many people having this problem it must be to do with Gnu, is there a moderator that can confirm this and at least give us some hope that they are working to fix the problem.
