LW's media player suffers in performance if LW is busy. What I'd recommend is get another player like QCD: http://www.quinnware.com/ or perhaps iTunes: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ There's certainly a large no. of alternatives to choose from. Once you've installed another player, then go to LW's menu Tools>Options>Player & untick the player option & press apply. Need to restart LW for it to take effect though.
