Default I can't download AT ALL!

When I try to download, it does absolutely nothing. My firewall isn't blocking it, and it works on another Windows XP account. Does anyone know how to get files to download?

Do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False? If false then something is partially blocking LW.

See the sticky in this section for clues.

SO what happens. Can you detail it. Do you get search results? When you choose to downld, does anything start downlding? Keep in mind that in another user account on your comp, your downld folder will probably have a different location to the other account. If you're trying to downld to the same one but don't have permissions to do so then it may cause problems.

You could try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire & then set everything to default at least initially.
