 You're confusing kbps with KB/s. kbps = kilo bits per second. whereas KB/s = Kilo Bytes per seconds. There's 8 bits in a byte. You have the same speed as me. I get 27 KB/s total after overhead loss. It can vary depending on how far you are from the phone exchange.
