I have a couple of questions:

1. for some reason when i try to download 1 file from around 11 people, it just says connecting for agers, how do i know if im qued or anythin?

2. as above, if down loading a file 120 have, why can i only download from about 2 hosts.

3. i have 8meg broadband but have only got a top download speed of around 56kb, why.

i am using limewire pro.

is there anyway i can see who im downloading from?

1. Doesn't sound healthy. Did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other); Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)

2. Nobody can expect to connect to all those found in the search results. For a start, many won't have available upload slots & some will be very difficult to connect to for whatever reason. 3. Remember that isp's quote their speed in mbps or kbps (mega bits per second.) Whereas LW specifies its speed in KB/s or (Kilo bytes per second.) There's 8 bits in a byte so, your 8 mb is really equivalent to 1 MB minus overhead loss (such as how far you are from the phone exchange.) Probably about 800 KB/s. Why you get smaller downld speeds will depend on the sources!!! How much upld bandwidth they have available, etc. Not everybody has fast connections & uploading tends to be much less than downlding speeds.
