Question how to restore percentage downloaded of killed files?

For some reason the files I was downloading were terminated all transferred to the incomplete folder. Before I could resume them, and they would begin downloading at the point where I stopped them like say 50% or something like that. But now even if they are in the incomplete files, when I resume them, they all just go back to zero.........its so troublesome to download everything all from the start and some of the files are hard to find........does anybody know how to fix this problem? Please help! How do I resume it with the already saved percentage I have already in my pc so I dont need to go back from zero. :-(

Default

Hmmm not sure you can resume them if you went past the time for keeping incomplete files.

In LW tools>options>saving ---- days to keep incomplete files --- change to say like 100

By default that setting is 7

best of luck

Default The Most Enpissenating Dysfunction of Limewire!!!

pensterspinster,

I just checked the forum now to append to my request for solving this same problem. A few times in the past a solution was to back up, perhaps 2 to 4 times per session, the download.dat and download.bak files in the incomplete folder to another one or two folders concurrently.

I used to have frequent crashes with limewire, and would have many files that were almost complete, files from 350MB to 700MB and more, several at once almost complete, only to have them all go back to zero once again after a crash or even after a good and regular shutdown. More often than not transferring copies of the saved download files, copied at the very end of a safely ended previous session would do the trick.

Today, that did not work. Not the last saved download.dat, nor the one prior to it. EVERYTHING was reset to zero, EVERYTHING, no matter which previously saved download I installed for each reboot of limewire, yet there was no poor nor improper prior downloads or shutting down of der pooter, nor any deleted files, whether manually nor automatically.

Just now, prior to my current startup of der pooter and limewire, I had 12 large files within the range mentioned above and larger, at from 87% to 98% completed, and anticipating completion in less than an hour of my current startup. NOOOWWWWW, I must wait another 5 to 20 days just to get them as downloaded as they were before this limewire dysfunction!!!!!

This is
THE MOST ENPISSENATING DYSFUNCTION OF limewire!!!!!! Soviet Quality. I'm sure a competent savvy attentive software developer can, and will, solve this garishly intolerable dysfunction of limewire.

Limewire will have become a far better software once that dysfunction is solved.
