yeah, thats what I do to avoid some of the junk files. I just had to redo it this morning. why Limewire puts in all those useless extensions is beyond me.


Limewire is only a file sharing app that connects you to the network. it really cant do anything about porn or stopping any users from uploading junk files like porn, viruses etc.

it would have to be on it's own file sharing network to do that.

P2P simply means you are downloading off your fellow peers. Gnutella has really gone down the tubes for file sharing though thanks to the RIAA/MPAA.

all a P2P app can do for ya is filters and extensions. stopping users from sharing on the gnutella network would be the RIAA's dream, one they cant achieve except through lawsuits. so imagine a file sharing app trying to filterout all the bad stuff? No can do.
