descending download

hey all....just the Subject.
it has almost happend to me 20 times...i'm not a newbie,nor a end-user ....
when i'm downloading something,it begins descending....once i was nearly 98% of a 700MB file-yeah,movie-suddenly it Went 20%,and next time it was 0%
what's wrong?what should i do to prevent it?

Hi 3rduser

Then you should know that maybe the person you were downloading from went off line, keep the file and when Limewire finds new sources it will restart

Just curious did you check the file itself by right clicking on the file then clicking on properties.

are you sure? because it is not the answer i believe....because it happens when i'm downloading it From somewhen in between the file...for example...i'm at 80% now...then i start downloading after a day or two, then it Descends back to like 30%?how is that possible if that is because of a person i'm downloading from? it goes all the way back to couple of days ago,or even more.
Yes...i have done that, but what for? i have even Preview them.
these things just happens on LW.
