I know this has been mentioned before, but I'm tearing my hair out!
I had d/l speeds of 1-10k using Limewire on a firewalled 2Mb broadband service (ISP Virgin) which I was pretty unhappy about, so I upgraded to the PRO version which (allegedly) should give a big improvement on speeds.
Well, absolutely nothing has changed! Speeds still as appalling as ever.
I download files at high speeds normally, it's just on Limewire that there is this situation.
Any help?

There's always a chance your Internet service provider is filtering your speeds when using LW. Here's an example of how a p2p bandwidth shaper can work: Bandwidth Shaper Sample - typical of how some ISP's use it (click on link) ie: giving priority to net surfing & low priorities to p2p sharing such as on the gnutella network which LW uses.

I use Virgin and that seems unlikely. How can I check?
This is sooo frustrating!
Still can't get over 10k!
