I have just replaced my hard drive so I needed to reinstall Limewire...since then I cannot make it through even one download without it being corrupt.

But it always throws the corrupt file message at 99%, which is rather odd.

Any suggestions?

the corrupt message was mostly seen in older versions. Or try downloading a known clean file from http://www.magnetmix.com/audio2.shtml

hmm...that link has nothing of value on it for me...I don't listen to any of those artists...not to mention there is only a few things available.

I don't care if you like the file or not: it was a test you could try to see if you could "make it through even one download without it being corrupt."

If it did, then the sources you are choosing are bad for all those other files.
