Downloads Disappear

I am running the the newest version of Limewire basic. I have been trying to download several files. After I close my limewire client and come back a day or two to resume downloading the parts of the files that I have been downloading are missing and the downloads are set at 0% completed. Is there something that I am doing wrong? Or maybe a setting that needs to be changed?
